BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Co-op is governed by a nine-person Board of Directors
who are elected by, and from the Owners. The Board's role is
to represent the Owners, to create and implement a vision
for the Co-op and policies that guide movement toward that
Directors are elected for three-year terms
each March at the Annual Meeting. Potential Director
candidates are encouraged to show their interest at any time
throughout the year by attending a meeting and/or contacting
any of the current Board Members. Board directorship is an
excellent way to participate in a dynamic and effective
process that is helping to support a successful cooperative

Board Members contribute an average of ten
to twelve hours per month, including attendance at a monthly
Board Meeting, held on the second Wednesday of each month at
5:30 in the Community Room upstairs at the Co-op.

haven't attended a meeting recently, you will probably be
surprised by what you find the next time you do. A typical
Board Meeting these days begins a week prior to the meeting
when the Board receives preparatory meeting materials on
areas of Governance and performance the Board is scheduled
to monitor for that particular month. The meeting itself
focuses on four main areas: General Manager Performance,
Board Self–Evaluation, Ends Policies and Governance Process.
