August 24, 2019

Michigan Tech Orientation Week and Move-in

Move-In Weekend: Saturday, August 24, 2019

Orientation: Sunday, August 25, 2019 through Saturday, August 31, 2019

Your academic career at Michigan Tech begins with Orientation. Orientation is a weeklong program designed to provide you with the information needed to be a successful student and get the most out of your college experience. Orientation is required for all new first-year students. New transfer students are required to attend a one-day program, but may opt into the weeklong program. First-year and transfer students starting in January attend a one day Mid-Year Orientation.

During Orientation you'll spend time with fellow students, meet your academic advisor, explore your interests, and make decisions about your future. You'll also discover ways to stay healthy, excel academically, get involved with research projects, become a student leader, and more. Your time at Tech will be incredible-- learn how to make the most of it!

For more details or any questions about these programs, contact the Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success by email at orientation@mtu.edu, by phone at 906-487-3558, or
