Produce Stocker

Produce Stocker
Part-time (18-25 hours/week)
Evenings and Weekends

The Produce Stocker is responsible for receiving, prepping, stocking, and culling produce, providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean retail and backroom space, and other tasks as assigned

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Rotate, stock, and cull produce to build clean, orderly, and attractive displays
Receive, store, and prep produce, check quality, organize and label inventory
Ensure accurate and legible product signage
Greet customers and provide efficient and friendly customer service

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity
Ability to bend, lift, and reach repeatedly and for extended periods of time
Ability to stand and work in cold and confined spaces for extended periods of time

Minimum Qualifications
Commitment to the mission and goals of the Keweenaw Co-op
Reliable, adaptable, professional, and courteous
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in retail, grocery, or food production
Familiarity or interest in produce and its uses or food handling and preparation
Familiarity with natural foods and cooperatives

Janitorial & Maintenance Staff

Interviews: Thursday 03/08 and Friday 03/09.
Job start date: Tuesday, March 20th at 3:00 pm.

DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Front End Manager
ESTIMATED HOURS/WEEK: 16-18 hours/week; Shifts scheduled for afternoon/evening 3:00 pm-8:30 pm. Occasional before/after hours projects.

JOB SUMMARY
Looking for a dynamic individual to join the janitorial and maintenance staff at the Keweenaw Co-op. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the store and operating the Co-op recycling program. Also performs light maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide customer service when cleaning on the sales floor.
Empty recycling and trash throughout the store.
Sweep and mop assigned areas throughout the store.
Dust assigned areas throughout the store.
Vacuum assigned areas throughout the store.
Clean and sanitize restrooms.
Assist with bulk bin washing and special cleaning projects.
Deliver recycling to Waste Management.
Perform light maintenance such as light bulb replacement, painting, etc.

Physical Requirements
Ability to bend, lift and reach repeatedly for extended periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications
Regular, predictable attendance.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to multitask and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business.
Ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous cleaning experience.
